From last two years, Akshay Kumar was going through one of his struggling phase in his career. The ‘Khiladi’ of bollywood had his hard times after g facing major flop movies such as Samrat Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, Rakshabandhan, Ramsetu, Selfie, etc. By giving two years of flops, for an actor is very arduous to gain his lost reputation, but Akshay Kumar had decided to do it again, because it was not his first time. At early 2000’s he had faced lots of flop movies but thereafter he came back to his ‘khiladi’ form.
Akshay Kumar’s last and recent film OMG-2 has brought his reputation back. The film was made in a budget of ₹ 150 crore and the film has succeeded to earn ₹ 220 crores at world wide box office. This success is not enough but it brought back the lost tag of ‘Khiladi’ to Akshay Kumar.
Now, his next film “MISSION RANIGANJ : The Great Bharat Rescue” is ready to release, on 6 October of 2023 (official announcement). In the teaser of the film, it has been noticed that the story of the film revolves around the late Jaswant Singh Gill, who was an engineer, took responsibility for rescue coal miners, who were stuck on the flooded coal mine. The plot of the story is set up in the year 1989. It is inspired by a true story. Now, is time to wait for it’s trailer, which will reveal the characters and their roles respectively. But the upcoming Akshay Kumar’s movie raises a question as to whether this movie can bring back the old ‘Khiladi’ to the audience.
