Andhra rolls decision to make Class -8 students digitally active.

The AP government trying to involve class 8 students with the digital media. On Wednesday Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, approved the proposal. On acceptance of the proposal, the government will now distribute computers and laptops to the teachers and students worth of total 643 crore. A total of 4.50 lakh students and 50,194 teachers in 8395 schools will get the facility. It was also ensured that the laptops and PC will be loaded with  Byjus online learning app.

At first it was proposed that the  distribution will be restricted to  class 8 students but gradually the decision changed where providing the facility to the teachers was incorporated. According to  source the Education department also made  agreement with the vendor under which a worth of Rs 12,843, 64 GB memory card will also be provided whose market value is worth Rs 16,446.
