On Wednesday at G20 foreign ministers gathering in New Delhi British Foreign Secretary James cleverly visited and meet S Jaishankar ( External Affairs Minister). On such meeting Cleverly announced about the new scheme which allows young Britons and Indians to live and work together for up to two years.
“India is also an emerging global leader on technology and there are immense opportunities for better collaboration between us in this sector. That is why we will be basing our first Tech Envoy to the Indo-Pacific region, to maximise the tech expertise of both countries,” alleged by Cleverly. India and UK are expecting for a free trade deal at the end of March. According to the government in the new scheme for young professionals it was announced to give 3000 Indians and 3000 Britons a new pathway to live and work together for up to 2 years.
Cleverly also announced about the UK’s first Indo-pacific tech envoy which ties India in leading way. Foreign Secretary and Jaishankar are expected to discuss about the progress on UK-India 2030 Roadmap which aims to being a bridge for both countries which ties defence and security, trade and investment.
