On Thursday, a large fire broke ou at a five-story structure in Central Kolkata’s Ganesh Chandra Avenue. There are fire fighters on the scene, and they are working to put out the fire.
There are currently no reports of casualties, and the fire’s origin is yet unknown. More information is awaited.
According to fire officials, a godown on the Pune-Ahmednagar road in the Wagholi neighbourhood of Maharashtra’s Pune district caught fire on Wednesday.
The incident happened on Wednesday about 4 am, according to the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority’s (PMRDA) fire department, which also said that the fire was put out with the help of two fire tenders.
The godown was loaded with dairy goods, including cheese, milk, butter cream, and other items, according to the PMRDA fire department. The officials further stated that there were no casualties or reported injuries in the incident.
However, according to the officials, the fire also damaged a pick-up truck and merchandise worth lakhs of rupees.
Three persons were killed earlier this month in a large fire at a godown for decorative materials in the late-night Wagholi neighbourhood of Pune, Maharashtra. After receiving word of the incident, fire crews flocked to the area.
