In Arunachal Pradesh a pilot project is completed for the troop posted along with China. To upraise the living standards of troops, posted along the border of China, this pilot project is set to show smarter facilities. On November 2021, Twang sector of Arunachal Pradesh situated 10,000 ft above the mean sea level, the post started developing. Using mix of materials, including Bamboo and with some local available resources, Army engineers gave a shape to its first structure.
“The plan was to create a model post for troops on the frontline as an integrated project keeping in mind the space, essential troop comfort, weather protection, amenities like running water, power requirements, safety and connectivity. The selected location for the model post was winter cut-off at high altitude,” a Defence statement said.
The post provides better living conditions to the troops which includes many features like weather protection, hygiene, strong internet connection , hi-tech, self reliant project with high renewable sources. Tackling bad weather conditions and for quick- setting, engineers used ultra high performance cement plates. It was used, for reducing the overall constructing time and for secured stronger protection.
The model project is ready to move in for the soldier and according to the source, two more such projects will be expected to be completed, within the month of December.
