Yesterday the regular routine of a private boarding school in Supaul region of Bihar,  came  to halt following a shocking incident which involved  a 5 year old boy  firing  a  Class three student .

The 10 years old victim, narrated the event to Police,who is presently undergoing treatment . Both the accused and the victim are students of  St. Johns Boarding School , situated at Lalpatti in Triveniganj , of Bihar’s Supaul region .

According to victim, the incident occurred before the morning assembly , as he was taking the passage towards his classroom. The victim added that the accused suddenly appeared and took out a gun from his school bag and fired at him. In the nick of time, the boy made effort to save his life but still the bullet pierced his arm .

Parents , guardians of other students raised voices and expressed concerns with their child’s safety relating to the lapse in security.

According to a report published by U.S News and World Report , U.S registered 153 school shooting incidents in the year 2023.Such incidents have become epidemic in America and in the western world nowadays because of the human rights and guns safety measures they enjoy.

At an age when nursery kids usually throw tantrums for chocolate or chips, for a 5 year old child to shoot his schoolmate in rage has brought in concern which added to his affinity towards watching crime related movies.

According to experts, crime related movies can have  influence on young minds , which has been ascertained to be one of the possible  reasons behind this incident.
