The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) stated in a live webinar on “Modalities for conducting term 2 exams 2022”, that the results of students of Class 10 and Class 12 will be issued even if they miss one of the two term exams.
The students who will skip either of the term exams will receive their grades based on their performance in one of the term exams in which they appeared. The board further clarified that if the student does not appear for either of the term exams conducted by the board, the student will not be allowed to sit for compartment exams that year and will have to sit for the exam next year. The board’s controller of examinations, Sanyam Bhardwaj stated, an alternate grading scheme will be introduced by the board later which will be in favor of the students. The CBSE board has declared that schools will be given additional money to offer basic amenities to students who will appear in the Second Term Exam. The board will provide schools with 2 rupees per student every day to offer safe drinking water during examinations.
The CBSE board Second Term Examinations for Classes 10 and 12 are scheduled from April 26, 2022. At over 7,412 centers, these exams will be conducted. Around 34 lakh students will appear for the CBSE 10th and 12th examinations.
