Taylor Swift won nine awards at the MTV’S Video Music Awards 2023 all inclusive on Video of the Year for her hit ‘Anti-Hero’, Song and Artist of the Year.
Taylor Swift was nominated for total of 11 categories but she missed out winning only 2 of them on Best Editing and the Song of the Summer. With the top three awards of Video, Song and Artist of the Year, she also won Best Pop and Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Show of the Summer and Album of the Year for ‘Midnights.’
The ‘Anti-Hero’ is the first single of Taylor’s Midnight. It is about a tale of insecurities with a chorus : “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me”. It also won Best Song of the Year and Best Direction. Holding her Moon Person statuette, Swift said “This is unbelievable” on stage while receiving her award. “The fact this is a fan-voted award means so much to me”.
The members of 1990s boy band NSYNC, who received the same award 20 years back, presented the Pop Video Award to Taylor Swift which left her thrilled and said to band members, Lance Bass and Justin Timberlake, “I had your dolls! You are pop personified. So to receive this from your golden pop hands, it’s too much”.
