The most-awaited film Thangalaan of Pa Ranjith highlighted by Vikram, Parvathy and Malavika Mohanan wrapped up it’s shooting on Tuesday, produced by Studio Green and Neelam Productions.
Chiyaan Vikram shared glimpses on his social media from the sets of the film and captioned it with acknowledgement. According to Vikram, he had most vivid experiences as an actor whilst shooting for Thangalaan and gave credit to the film’s director for “making us live this dream”.
Malavika Mohanan posted a similar photo on her Instagram handle and wrote, “I don’t even know where to begin. A film that came my way in the most unexpected way at an unexpected time, a film that tested my physical, mental and emotional endurance in a way nothing ever has, a film where I got to collaborate with some of the most talented artists, not to mention some of my favourites”.
The Studio Green’s co-producers also shared a Reel Video of the film recreating the famous Romancham trend. The movie is said to be based on a real story set in the Kolar Gold Fields during British rule in India. The production of the film started for quite a while but was halted temporarily due to Vikram’s rib injury and resumed the shoot in June.
Thangalaan also features Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, and Harikrishnan Anbudurai in leading roles. The music composed by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography of the film done by A Kishor Kumar and edited by Selva RK. Tamil Prabha has co-written the screenplay and the movie is most likely to be released by summer 2024.
