Mohamed Salah has expressed his disappointment on social media after Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since the 2015-16 season . Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Chelsea on Thursday ended Liverpool’s hopes of earning a berth in Europe’s premier club competition next season.
Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah, in his post, said there is “no excuse” for Liverpool’s failure to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in seven seasons after Manchester United secured the final place in the Premier League top four on Thursday .”We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down.”I’m totally devastated,” Salah said on Twitter
Liverpool will play at Southampton in their final game of the season on Sunday.
