The mythological based film Adipurush hits cinemas on Friday, with Om Raut as director the film is currently facing a conspicuous comparison at box office between Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 and his ongoing film Adipurush which is a lot more overpriced production than the one.

The initial response towards the film have been mixed but according to sources Adipurush is on a run towards a historic launch at the box office. Industry tracker. According to Manobala Vijayabalan, the trade analyst has prognosticated a world-wide gross opening between Rs 130 crore and Rs 150 crore. As grandiose as it sounds, it’s still lacking behind around Rs 100 crore than that of SS Rajamouli’s RRR which gathered Rs 257 crore on it’s opening day gross in 2022.

Prabhas famed Baahubali 2 earned more than Rs 200 crore globally on it’s launch day. As a matter of fact, Baahubali 2 even got a great business in the Hindi-speaking belt. This year Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has already settled a new milestone for Hindi openings, collecting Rs 55 crore on its first day. Adipurush has a sky-high budget than Baahubali 2 and RRR which means that the venture is at a stake even after Prabhas’ last two flops, Radhe Shyam and Saaho.

Due to the early reports of the VFX being far from perfect, as of the negative reaction to it’s teaser on T-Series the movie release was delayed to touch-up the visual effects resulting to the budget being more stretched. Adipurush was expected to have a major global premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this week, but due to some unknown reasons it was held cancel. The movie also have the starcast Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Saif Ali Khan and is being released in over 6000 screens in India.
