The bodies of an eldery Gujrati couple was recovered covered with sharp weapon and bullet wounds from their home in Bhawanipore, Kolkata late Monday evening(June 6, 2022).

The deceased couple’s bodies that were bloodied from the multiple wounds and attacks was recovered from their flat on Harish Mukherjee Road, in Southern Kolkata’s Bhawanipore.The deceased couple later identified as Ashok Shah(56) and his wife Reshmi(52) had been reported to have multiple injuries on their bodies that prompted the police to launch a murder probe. The couple is succeeded by three daughters, the eldest of which was inquired by the police to name any potential suspects, but failed to identify anyone as such.

Another discovery that has got the police concerned is the absence of any evidences of forced entry and no traces of the killer/s escape, leading to speculations about the possibility of involvement of people close to the couple, but that too is yet to be verified.

As per latest reports and according to some information obtained from people close to the couple, the couple recently had a big quarrel with a buyer over the sale of their house . Prompting the police to investigate the possibility of the quarrel being linked to the murder.
