An abandoned vehicle filled with buffalo head and flesh were found near a Vinod Nagar warehouse in the Gazipur district of eastern Delhi, police said on Sunday.

The police stated that they received a PCR call on Saturday afternoon about an abandoned vehicle loaded with animal flesh being parked near the depot, a police team was deployed to the spot immideately and on their arrival they found the vehicle is loaded with buffalo heads and flesh.

Deputy Commissioner of Police(East) Amrutha Guguloth said that under sections 293(sale, of obscene objects to young person) and 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) of the Indian Penal Code a case has been registered she also added that the vehicle is being seized and an investigation is underway.

The incident came after a buffalo head was found on a road near a temple in the northeastern area of Delhi. In this regard, two defendants, including minors, were arrested.
