History repeats itself, but now with a different team! Yesterday, at the finale of the fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League, Gujrat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals to lift their maiden title in their welcome season. After winning the toss, men in pink were able to score only 130 runs whereas Gujarat chased this easy total with seven wickets and eleven balls left.
It seemed that from the mid – season, Rajasthan Royals became extremely dependable on Josh Buttler. Though he was crowned the Man of The Tournament, but he was failed to play his regular game yesterday. He struggled to score only 39 of 35, which was the highest individual score of them yesterday. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya, who scored crucial 34 runs along with 3 wickets, was justified to be awarded the Man of The Match. Experts said,’Hardik played like a captain yesterday. With bat or vall, he lead his team from front.’ Some even started thinking him as the best replacement for Dhoni after yesterday’s game.
The fifteenth edition of IPL has witnessed a lot of variation in the award ceremony as well. Super Striker of the Finale was awarded to David Miller with a cash prize of One lakh rupees. Rest of the awards with one lakh was awarded to Hardik Pandya, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Trent Boult, Hardik Pandya, Lockie Ferguson, Jos Buttler.
