Ahead, Bengali’s vast celebrated occasion of Durga puja, Kolkata Police launched new app named Utsab. The app features  more updated ideas and details about puja pandals in the city. It can track location for the pandal hoppers for their comfort and can give facility to the elderly persons who might not prefer to go outside in the crowd during puja days. It allows people to watch more about 60 most popular pandals, live feeds. Location based nearby search is also included in the app which allows people to search globally.

The app also include 360 degree photographs and videos of 60 puja pandals  on social media also available. Moreover, old features like police booths, control room, pay and use toilets, petrol pumps, medical shops, restaurants etc will be available too. Every year during Durga puja the app is newly launched as it was first started by Kolktata police in 2016. This year the app has been entitled by ‘Utsab- Kolkata police’ which was developed both on Android and iOS platforms. With just a click the app will serve detailed navigation about the pandals.
