As weird as it sounds, a man from Nalgonda district at Telengana named O Naveen calls police on Friday night complaining against his wife for refusing to cook mutton.

As known from records the person was a 28 year old labourer from Cherla Gowraram village . The person was put behind the bars for continuosly ringing the police not only once but six times to register complaint against his wife .

Sub inspector Nagesh says that on Friday night he returned home in an intoxicated condition . On the way back to home he purchased some mutton and on returning he asked his wife to prepare mutton curry. Being irritated and frustrated over his drunken condition she refused to cook mutton . Offended at her response, he calls the police to complain against his wife that she was refusing to cook mutton curry . The SI says ” The staff disregarded it as a prank call . However, Naveen kept settling on the decisions and we were informed after repeated six calls “. The police tracked the phone call and arrested him the next morning . The person was charged under IPC sections 290 which is punishment for nuisance and 510 which is misconduct in public under the influence of alcohol .

The police requests the people not to misuse the toll free facility offered in case of emergencies as this drains considerable time and may hamper their respond to relatively important calls .
