Mansukh Mandaviya who is the minister of the health and family welfare launched the National Medical Device Policy at an annual conference today dated May 26, 2023 regarding Indian pharmaceuticals and medical devices in Delhi.
The conference is created in order to aim at for the establishment of India as a cost-effective as well as a high-quality manufacturing and innovative centre for the pharmaceuticals and medical device industries.
The Health Ministry also seeks to bring forth a simple basic chemical industry and API-related PLI in the future as exclaimed by Mandaviya . APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) are said to be biologically active components of medicinal products that produces the required intended effect on a person.
Mandaviya also launched the Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices along with the innovative Scheme of Assistance to Medical Devices Clusters for Common Facilities (AMD-CF) which released six reports on pharmaceuticals and medical devices this day.
The Cabinet Members approved the idea of National Medical Device Policy 2023 aroused on April 26, but the policy and its official strategy document were officially released and unveiled by Mandaviya today and are leading it’s way to get a suitable feedback from the public.
