On thursday, police commissioner Amitesh kumar made it clear that the blood test result of the accused teen in Porsche car crash case, who claimed two innocent lives , is not necessary for further investigation in the case. According to him, investigation team is focused on gathering technical evidences , respecting the grimness of the case avoiding any further lapses.
On 19 may, the news of a speeding Porsche car around two o clock in the morning, ramped up two individuals, who were witnessed dead on spot, shook the streets of kalyani nagar in Pune. The accused in this case is a 17 year old minor, who was under the influence of alcohol at the time of this mishap , according to eyewitnesses. Initially in the case , the boy was arrested after an FIR was filed against him in yerwada police station , on the same morning. Police were accused of the delay in taking blood samples of the culprit and the boy was later on granted bail on the same day. The court granted bail to the boy on the conditions that he would write an essay of 300 words on road accidents and assist RTO officers , and study traffic rules for 15 days.
There was massive outrage against the court’s judgement of granting bail to the minor, and facing continuous heat in this case, the state police has now also introduced section 185 in the chargesheet and has filed a review application against the bail granted to the minor boy. The police has also arrested the father of the accused who was at large ,and filed an FIR against him under sections of Juvenile justice act and the MVA.
As per the recent updates, the Juvenile Justice Board of Pune has sent the minor boy to home observation till 5th June .
