Director SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited movie RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, has been shattering box office records and has managed to break numerous records in just a week since its release on 25 March 2022. The epic period action drama film has earned approximately Rs 800 crore till April 3,2022.

RRR has become the fifth highest-grossing Indian film surpassing Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’s lifetime collection of Rs 800 crore (worldwide gross) at the box office in just a few days of its release, as per the official records shared by Indian trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan. Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgan appeared in the film in a cameo role. The film broke Baahubali 2 opening record by ₹228.50 crore. While the movie went quite stable the rest of the week, the second week saw an incredible rise at the box office. RRR has also outshined Aamir Khan’s PK with it’s worldwide collection of RS 800 crore.

RRR being in the fifth position in the list of highest-grossing Indian films and noting the pace of it’s collection hunt, it may soon cross the figures of Secret Superstar (Rs 966.86 Crore) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 969.06 Crore), which may lead the film to the third spot. Although, RRR is increasingly attracting audiences to the theatres but it might not be able to secure the first or second spot on the highest-grossing list as their huge numbers are untouchable. Currently, Dangal with Rs 2024 Crore worldwide gross secures the first position while Baahubali: The Conclusion with worldwide gross of Rs 1810 Crore secures the second spot.
