Indian premier league is back and with a look and with a new sponsor. Tata IPL22 will kickstart from 26th March and the final match will be in 29th may 2022. In this new season of IPL there will be a total of 70 league matches which will be played on 4 international standard stadium in Mumbai and Pune with only 40% crowd in the stadium in the beginning of the league and if the covid cases and situation is under control then board might decide to allow more spectators in the end 20 matches will be played in Mumbai’s wankhede stadium and brabourne stadium will host 15 matches and 20 matches in DY Patil stadium, rest of the matches will be held at Pune’s MCA international stadium. Apart from the new sponsor there’s also something new, from this season there will be 10 official teams that will be playing this league, the new teams are gujrat Titans and Lucknow super giants. As the 8 team league is not 10 teams it will effect the format too and few changes have been made. The teams have been divided into two groups of 5 teams and each and every team will play 14 matches (7in home ground and 7 away matches) in the league stage and followed by 4 playoffs. Each team will play 5 teams twice in this season and the remaining 4 teams will play once.
