The youth of today are the future citizen of tomorrow. They not only appreciate the problems facing the country, but also meet the challenges. The youth power has been the genesis of the French Revolution, the communist revolution, and even our own fight for independence. Their phenomenal power if effectively mobilised could help in nation building.

Even after 75 years of Independence, the nation has not been able to alleviate the miseries of the rural folks. The problems of illiteracy, insanitation, superstitions and poverty are so enormous that it have to be fired with idealism like our fight for Independence.

By involving them in monumental task which has been done by many European countries has a salutary effect on the youth and the society at a large. The energies of the youth channelized in augmenting the government effort in spreading literacy to the villages. Besides imparting elementary education, it helps to remove superstition, evils of dowry, child marriage, casteism, etc. It is the root cause of backwardness and will save the cities from congestion. A proper orientation of youth helps to participate in the social upliftment of the society and should be taken as a challenge rather than a humdrum assignment.
