The International Film Festival of Kerala(IFFK) has arrived at the round of the year. The State Chalachitra Academy as usual has been the in charge in hosting musical and cultural events to illuminate the soul of this festival people are intrigued for.
The festival has the glaze of big names, where Purbayan Chatterjee the sitar maestro from Bengal, tuning the blend of classical with Western core will be glared by many.The cultural programmes will commence from the second day of the event continuing to the seventh of the occasion. The Tagore theatre holding up the responsibility for organising the programmes will lit up with the shining names of the Indian musical paradox. Starting from the Band soul to the Tamilian favourite rock band Jhanu, the festival will hold a eye catching response from the corners of the state. Athul Narukara who has been the centre of attraction for the Band soul will make their presence on the 10th of December,followed by Jhanu on the very next day. Nimisha Salim , the grand daughter of the famous musican M.S Baburaj will make her followers glued to her programme with her heart soothing gazals on the 12th. The music bands Thamarassery Churam and Chumaduthang will perform on the 13th. The penultimate day has a attraction where the South Indian playback singer and State Film award winner Pradeep kumar will step on the stage and outcast a solo repertoire of his hit songs. The show will be continued with Arun Sukumar and Nitya Mammen’s tribute show where they will pay their respect to the legendary “Remembering Kishore and Lata Ji”.
The demand of the delegate passes are mounting as the event progresses. Till date, 12,000 passes has been distributed. The organisers have thought to open the slots once again due to the outbreak of the popularity of the festival.
