For the last three years, Virat Kohli has been struggling to score with his bat and the former world’s rank 1 batter couldn’t get a single century. Former skipper of the Indian National Cricket Team is facing the worst phase of his career.

After giving up the captaincy for Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB), Virat Kohli has undergone several changes since 2021, the most significant one is the absence of former IPL teammate AB de Villiers. Continuously failing in the international matches, commentators are often using terms like “overcooked” and “needs break” for the prolific batsman who is off colour in the 15th season of IPL. 33-year-old, out of form Kohli, spoke about his poor performance and mentioned while responding to those critics that he turns the sound off when watching cricket on television and doesn’t focus on what people say, since they do not know how he feels or the situation is. South African cricketer Faf du Plessis was bought for Rs 7 crore at IPL mega auction by the franchise, replacing Kohli as RCB captain. Kohli praise the new captain and said he was able to learn better while playing under his captaincy. The was sent out to the dugout three times with golden duck in this season of IPL. Kohli spoke about AB de Villiers and mentioned that they talk regularly and hinted that he may return back to RCB in a new position next year.

RCB is at the fourth position in 10 team T20 tournament of IPL and is ready for the playoff spot. Kohli has scored just 216 runs in 12 matches of IPL 2022 and secured one half-century.
